Dragonrose Castle

Kitchen

As you look around, there are workmen everywhere, building, planting, having a steaming cup of coffee.

The smell of smoke and cooking meat draws you around the half-finished building. You find a cooking fire, over which some sort of bird is being roasted. A few at a time, the workers are breaking for lunch.

A short, middle-aged woman offers you a plate. "Here you are, dear." She leans forward and squints up her eyes for a moment. "You're not a builder..."

She stands up straight again. "You must be a visitor then. Good to see they're coming to see us already. The Mistress will be expecting you. Run along to meet her, deary. And once the dust settles around here, you come back and we'll swap recipes..." With a smile at you she goes back to tending the food.

Introduce yourself and then ask "Who are you?"

"It's nice to meet you, deary." She pushes damp, dark hair back from her face. "I'm Matilda, the cook and head housekeeper for the Castle." She is interrupted by one of the workmen's approach. "Come back later and we'll talk more."
